* "Get the right people on your bus in
the right seats, and get the wrong
people off your bus."
Laundy picked up this advice from Jim
Collin's book Built to Last: Successful
Habits of Visionary Companies.
"He speaks to the need for a single
vision and people who are aligned with
your mission," Laundy said. "If you get
the right people who believe in your
core values and the people they work
with, then they're self-motivating and
excited to be part of a cohesive team
creating something great."
For Laundy, this advice "seems
intuitive" and reinforces his company's
mission statement: "Growth of our
people, growth of our clients, and all
else follows."
"If you really believe in it and really
practice it, it leads to a lot of
success," Laundy said.
